Abstract
Previously published methods of residual solvent analysis in coated or treated films are summarized. A new method is described in this paper. The method utilizes a device (Film Sample Injector) built for this purpose to eliminate any limitations imposed on previous methods. The injector provides fast, accurate and direct analysis of residual solvents by placing the film sample in the injection port and removing it easily at the end of the test. The injector can be utilized easily for paper and fiber analysis. Experimental details are included.Keywords
