Abstract
In 29 cases of completely united corneal grafts in rabbits, 5 remained clear and insensitive, 1 had a central clear area and remained insensitive, and 21 out of 23 opaque grafts became vascularized and sensitive. Analysis of these experiments seems to show a clear correlation between the vascularization of a corneal graft and the invasion of it by the afferent nerve fibers upon which depends the return of sensitivity. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
