Abstract
Percolation processes in anisotropic systems are discussed by using the real-space renormalization-group method. The critical concentration and the correlation-length exponent ν are calculated for the bond percolation on the square lattice. The nearly isotropic case and quasi-one-dimensional case are distinguished. The results are consistent with those of the graph theory. In the nearly isotropic percolation, the exponent ν for anisotropic percolation is found to be 1.2 close to that for isotropic percolation, 1.3.Keywords
