Abstract
Molecular orientations of 1,4-dithioketo-3,6-diphenyl-pyrrolo-[3,4-c]-pyrrole deposited onto crystalline substrates have been studied. On alkali halide substrates, there are certain azimuthal relations between the substrates and the deposited films. For example, the films on KCl and KBr have special orientations to the substrates, where the a-axes of the films are nearly parallel to (or ) of KCl and of KBr, respectively. These relations are discussed using a geometrical boundary theory applied on the thin films and the substrates. Keywords
