Abstract
A simple and inexpensive method is described for the analysis of pesticides in air samples. The method involves quantitative extraction from a nylon chiffon cloth screen which has been exposed to the atmosphere for 5 days, followed by cleanup with aluminum oxide and Florisil column chromatography. Recovery studies were run on a cloth screen and results for the organochlorine pesticides ranged from 86 to 100% recovery. Evidence seems to indicate that an environment containing high residue levels has a direct relationship to pesticide body burden. Keywords
