Abstract
A sensitive spectrophotometric method for the micro-determination of hydrogen bound to silicon has been developed. It is based on the reaction involved in hydride transfer from silicon to a carbenium ion. The method may be useful for the determination of trace amounts of the Si—H group in silicone oils and in the siloxane oligomers used as intermediates in the silicone industry. Keywords
