Abstract
The classical damped and driven Morse oscillator is investigated with the new tools of nonlinear dynamics. Bifurcation diagrams, fixed-point diagrams, and phase diagrams are given for two damping constants. The fixed-point diagrams include the unstable branches and reveal the connection between bifurcations as well as their recurrent structure. Keywords
