Abstract
A. amphidymum and A. oligcanthum are described from small intestines of the bat Eptesicus f. fuscus from Virginia. The unreliability of body and internal organ dimensions in speciation in this genus is pointed out. The main diagnostic criterion appears to be the position and arrangement of the atrial spines. A key to the genera of Lecithodendriinae occurring in mammals is given; also a key to the spp. of Acanthatrium.
