Abstract
An 11‐year‐old German shepherd dog cross was presented with a six‐week history of weight loss and abdominal distension. A diagnosis of abdominal abscess and discospondylitis was made. The dog responded to surgical excision of the abscess and conservative medical treatment for discospondylitis. Keywords
