Abstract
The renal clearance of ribonuclease in humans and dogs varies from 4-11% of the simultaneously estimated glomerular filtration rate. The clearance is constant with widely varying plasma levels. This suggests filtration of a small, unbound fraction of serum ribonuclease without subsequent tubular absorption or excretion. The concentrations of ribonuclease in renal artery and vein were identical. In anuric dogs the serum level of ribonuclease rose but bore no relationship to the concentration of blood urea. Keywords
