Abstract
The universal ureteral stent is an 8F [French] soft silicone rubber tube 90 cm long with a zone of side holes marked with radiopaque material. This stent does not cause the discomfort associated with other ureteral stents and can provide immediate nephrostomy drainage [human] if obstruction occurs. The universal stent is reasonably priced, and because only 1 size stent is needed, which has several applications, the size and cost of hospital stent inventories should be decreased. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
