Abstract
A modification of electrophoresis stabilized by electromagnetic rotation is presented which yields higher resolution, and permits processing of materials at higher concentration (higher-streak density). It is particularly suitable for separation of microscopic particles. The improvement is achieved by deforming the previously used circular path into a tall vertically oriented endless fluid belt. High potential gradients in the order of 70 v/cm can be used without undue heating of the materials and without causing thermal convection. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
