Abstract
For written discussion* Paper No. 6982 THE DESIGN OF FLY-ASH CONCRETES by Iain A. Smith B.Sc., A.M.I.C.E. Department of Civil Engineering, University of Glasgow SYNOPSIS This Paper describes a method for in the design of concrete mixes to give use a required early strengthand degree of workability when incorporating fly-ash. The usefulness of the method is shown by comparison with a large number of tests on fly-ash cement concretes and with analyses of previously published papers from external sources. It is shown that there is no need to accept a loss of early strength when using fly-ash in concrete... For written discussion* Paper No. 6982 THE DESIGN OF FLY-ASH CONCRETES by Iain A.
