Abstract
Presentation of CaseA six-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital because of vomiting and diarrhea.She was in excellent health until early July, three days before admission, when she began to vomit all oral intake. A low-grade fever appeared. Two days before admission abdominal cramps developed, occurred at intervals of approximately one hour, and were often followed by vomiting. One day before entry the temperature rose to 38.2°C. Diarrhea occurred, with the passage of dark-brown, watery stools that were not foul and did not contain frank blood or mucus.
