Abstract
Liquid-liquid extraction techniques are often employed in metal ion separation schemes. Although these solution techniques are adequate for many applications, there are numerous separations that would be improved by the development of advanced, solid supported organic extractants. Several approaches for the preparation of solid supported ligands suitable for lanthanide and actinlde separations are reported here, and supports utilized include polystyrene and zirconium phosphate. Keywords
