Abstract
Specific gravity, moisture content of the wood, and stem bark percentages in 1-year-old shoots of 20 Salix (L.) clones originating from natural and artificial stands in Sweden were measured for 3 years. Clones were classified into three groups with high, medium, and low specific gravity. Ranking stability for specific gravity was high. Moisture content and bark percentage fluctuated considerably from one year to another but showed a slight increase from the high to the medium and low specific gravity groups. Keywords
