Abstract
Three cases of pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis of familial occurrence were followed for about 9 years after the initial study in relation to clinical and roentgenologic findings, as well as pulmonary function. The oldest sister, who showed roentgenologic deterioration, stated that she had dyspnea on exertion. However, as she lives too far from the Institute, she has been unavailable for further investigation. The 2 younger sisters had no complaints but were studied for pulmonary function. The diffusing capacity for CO and the true membrane diffusing capacity were found to be markedly impaired, but pulmonary capillary blood volume was within normal limits. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
