Abstract

All of the blood I cannot be extracted by methanol in 28 hrs. or by acetone in 16 hrs. in a Soxhlet extractor. The values for thyroid hormone I obtained by the original method or by 12 hrs. of dialysis herein described are, on the avg., nearly 20% higher than those obtained after 1 hr. of agitation in methanol.
