Abstract
A method for an analytical approximate calculation of black-hole normal modes is suggested. It is based on a simple quantum-mechanical analogy and enables us to carry out calculations using ordinary perturbation theory. A similarity and distinction between the present method and other known analytical approaches are discussed. Keywords
