Elevation of mean circulatory pressure in dogs with cerebral ischemia-induced hypertension

Abstract
The Cushing reflex was elicited in 12 dogs. After the mean arterial pressures had become elevated, the mean circulatory pressures were measured. Mean circulatory pressure increased from the control of 7 mm Hg up to approximately 2.5 times the control when the mean arterial pressure was elevated to approximately 240 m Cushing reflex; intracranial compression Submitted on March 16, 1964
