Abstract
Domain structures in the α and β phases of PLZT have been studied by cold-stage transmission electron microscopy. The low temperature α-phase has stable polar microdomains coexisting with a non-polar phase. There also exists a superstructure in the low temperature α-phase associated with an antiferroelectric phase. The β-phase exhibits macrodomains which become aligned by specimen charging effects during analysis. Keywords
