Abstract
• To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of Kaposi's sarcoma in the literature that developed in a patient with myasthenia gravis. The initial signs and symptoms of both diseases in our patient were ocular. Prolonged corticosteroid therapy was required for control of the myasthenia and may have caused the immunosuppression that predisposed the patient to Kaposi's sarcoma. Immunologic, viral, and genetic factors have been implicated in both diseases, and common mechanisms of pathogenesis are possible. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
