Abstract
Two cases of typical aortic dissection occurring in a series of 369 abdominal aortograms are described, an incidence of 0.54 per cent. This complication occurred once during the translumbar method and once during retrograde catheterisation. No ill-effects occurred in these patients. Some remarks on the significance of aortic dissection and the means by which this complication and its effects may be reduced are included. Keywords
