Abstract
A 65 yr old woman is presented with an atypical case of chronic myelogenous leukemia, associated with a translocation between chromosomes 12 and 22. The reverse-banding technique is employed to demonstrate a resultant Philadelphia chromosome. A variable amount of material is translocated from chromosome 22 in a series of chronic myelogenous leukemias examined. Keywords
