Abstract
Constructional requirements for devices used for stretching specimens under high hydrostatic pressure have been discussed. The construction of the device allows purely axial stretching of high strength steel specimens whose diameter reached ⅓ of the inner diameter of the pressure chamber itself. The device can be used for testing the strength of materials in all cases in which the stretching is carried out in a chamber of limited dimensions.Keywords
