Abstract
Herpes simplex virus caused an acute febrile illness with a generalized vesicular rash in an adult with advanced leukolymphosarcoma. This appeared during treatment with cyclophosphamide and prednisone. The isolation of the virus from the skin lesions by tissue culture enabled rapid diagnosis. Keywords
