Abstract
Three groups of rats were used[long dash]a control group of 30 animals, an early Vit. B deficient group of 31 and a late deficient group of 29. A comparatively simple escape-from-water incentive maze was used to measure learning. Early Vit. B deficiency was more effective in reducing learning ability in rats than was later deficiency. This difference was apparently due to the nervous system being relatively undeveloped in the early stages of life and therefore more seriously influenced by the vit. deficiency during the period of very rapid growth and development.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
