Abstract
Several thousand mice of the SAS/4 strain have been studied throughout their life span to determine in relation to the age of the population growth rate as expressed by body weights from newborn to old age, survival and life expectation curves, time distribution and incidence of diseases causing death. Comments on experimental design in relation to longterm studies on mice are made in view of some of the findings on this population.
