OBSERVATIONS DURING ACTH AND CORTISONE ADMINISTRATION TO A PATIENT WITH LONGSTANDING PANHYPO-PITUITARISM AND RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS 1

Abstract
The clinical and chemical observations for a 4-mo. period are reported on a patient with panhypopituitarism and rheumatoid arthritis. Partial adrenal cortical activity was demonstrated during the admn. of ACTH. Cortisone had a definite effect on the arthritis, but the anti-rheumatic activity of ACTH was equivocal.
