Abstract
Using GSR as a measure of emotionality, 2 groups of patients (depressives and schizophrenics) were exposed to 2 kinds of music (exciting and calming). In general, the music was seen to have the predicted effect on all the patients. The depressives responded more to the music characterized as exciting than the schizophrenics. Music was seen to be a factor which could alter the subjective emotional experience of psychotic patients. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
