Abstract
After oral therapy with ampicillin for an unrelated disorder, 2 patients developed gastroenteritis with an ampicillin-resistant strain of S. sonnei. Both patients recovered after treatment with antimicrobial agents to which the Shigella was susceptible by in vitro testing. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
