Inhibition of Prostaglandin Synthesis by Benorylate

Abstract

Using human and animal gastro-intestinal tissue as sources of prostaglandin synthetase it was found that prostaglandin synthesis is markedly inhibited by benorylate. In addition, benorylate antagonises the actions of prostaglandin E₂ on the smooth muscle of the rat isolated stomach.
