Abstract
This article describes a preliminary model of phonological intervention for use with children described as essentially unintelligible. The model facilitates a progression of articulatory skill development adaptable to individual needs. Early indications suggest that it has merit as a framework for the remedial management of children with severe functional articulatory disorders. Keywords
