Abstract
Thyroid extract was injected intraperit. into the lizard and then the animal''s territorial behavior noted sometimes when he was used as a resident, and at other times when he was used as a non-resident. Several exptl. animals, both [male] and [female], and several controls were studied. The injected animals showed shorter reaction time and greater pugnacity in their territorial behavior, whether resident or non-resident. Lizards injected with thyroid extract were more susceptible to the effects of anoxemia than were non-injected animals of the same sex. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
