Abstract
We have observed the existence of collective transverse behavior in liquid and supercooled phases of a symmetric top: Pyridine. The HH fine structure is particularly well resolved and is visible over a wider temperature range than the VH fine structure. We analyze both spectra in terms of the theory of Keyes and Kivelson and find that the value of the coupling parameter as deduced from the HH spectra has approximately twice the value of the corresponding parameter from the VH spectra. Keywords
