High Blood Pressure: Its Care and Consequences in Urban Centres

Abstract
The results of a special secondary prevention programme for hypertension were compared to those of usual medical care available to patients with high blood pressure. The special programme was carried out at a time when hypertension information was being disseminated rapidly. The investigators describe the magnitude of the problem in a central city area and develop a method of evaluation for each of the serial activities directed at its control in a community.
