Shear surface elastic waves on large amplitude gratings

Abstract

Calculations have been made of the dispersion curves for spolarised surface elastic waves propagating across large amplitude gratings of sinusoidal and sawtooth profiles, by use of a method based on the Rayleigh hypothesis.
