Active transport in animal tissues and subcellular particles

Abstract
The work we propose to present is mainly concerned with the distribution, within subcellular compartments, of inorganic ions, water and substrates of cell respiration, and with the role of mitochondrial metabolism on the distribution of these substances. Concepts of the distribution of low molecular substances within the cells are at present undergoing important changes. Three major features of the older concepts are being modified.
