Abstract
A portable, battery‐operated high voltage supply has been developed that is capable of furnishing 100 microamperes or more at voltages up to about 2000 volts with sufficient constancy of voltage for making accurate Geiger counter measurements. For stratosphere balloon use, few batteries are required other than the usual plate and bias supplies and the additional current drain on these is small. The outfit may also be used with other portable cosmic‐ray apparatus, as well as radium finders and radioactivity meters. Keywords
