Abstract
Sixteen serial bird passages were made of the agent causing infectious bursal disease. The virus was adapted to chicken embryos. The 8th embryo passage virus was evaluated as an immunizing agent. Administered in the drinking water of 7-to-10-day-old chicks, the agent produced a mild disease and an immunity which lasted at least 9 wk. The virus has limited application as a vaccine. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
