High-purity germanium-observations on the nature of acceptors

Abstract

A critical examination of observations on high-purity germanium exhibiting acceptor concentrations in the 10¹⁰/cm³ range, indicates that the acceptors are probably due to lattice defects such as vacancy clusters. The paper presents evidence to support this contention.
