Abstract
The determination of eleven priority substituted phenols in water samples has been investigated using high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet detection. The method requires a chromatographic run time of less than nine minutes. The limits of detection range from 60 pg to 200 ng. Benzene and dichloromethane are used as extraction solvents. The average recovery from water is above 90%. The method is fast and reliable and can be adapted for the routine analysis of substituted phenols in water samples. Keywords
