Abstract
Levels of 20Ne at excitation energies of 10.57, 12.19, and 13.39 MeV have been formed in the 12C(12C, α)20Ne reaction. Angular correlations of deexciting alpha particles have been measured, leading to spin and parity assignments of 4+, 6 +, and 7−, respectively. Level energy systematics and systematics of reduced alpha-particle widths suggest that these levels be associated with rotational bands. Keywords
