Abstract
This research note suggests a method of measuring residents' attachment levels to distinguish between recent and long-established "native"residents'perceptionsoftourism impacts on the community. Guttman scaling is used to determine whether birthplace, years of residence, and heritage measure residents' attachment levels in a community.Keywords
