Abstract
For the past three years schoolchildren in three areas of Ireland (Cork City, the Shannon Estuary, and Waterford) have been monitoring air quality and have successfully used leaf yeasts as part of their study. By means of simple directions, children are able to assess leaf yeast numbers and incidentally become more familiar with aseptic technique and micro-organisms.Keywords
