Abstract
The metabolic demands of competitive marathon running require the development and integration of the respiratory, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems. Environmental factors such as ambient temperature, humidity, and wind resistance can affect running performance. In addition to training, racing strategy, fluid ingestion, and dietary manipulation are specific and practical methods that can be used to augment marathon performance. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
