Abstract
NMR images were processed and evaluated on 0.35 and 0.5 T [Tesla] imaging systems in order to visualize and quantify blood flow [in humans]. The velocity of moving substances is either measured by local and temporal tracking or by motion dependent coding and decoding. With the 1st method the passage time through an imaged slice of known thickness may be measured. The signal intensity at an offset section also indicates how far a bolus has advanced due to its velocity distribution. The second principle depends on MR gradient field encoding. [The use of this technique in the diagnosis of vascular pathology was described.].Keywords
