Abstract
The scattering of a Gaussian beam considering amplitude and phase distribution by a homogeneous dielectric cylinder is analyzed. A simpler expression is successfully obtained by using a new method. The spatial pictures in the amplitude and phase of the total Gaussian beam near the cylinder are both theoretically and experimentally clarified. The scattering patterns are also presented. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
