Abstract
Ninety-one patients with chronic lung disease were studied clinically and after autopsy. The results show that in some cases of emphysema and in some cases of chronic bronchitis there is organic stenosis of the small pulmonary arteries and arterioles. These anatomical lesions may cause significant obstruction and contribute to pulmonary hypertension. Keywords
