Abstract
The ultrasonic wind has been erroneously ascribed to a pumping action of the quartz oscillator. Eckart has investigated it starting from the hydrodynamical equations. Without adding anything essentially new to his calculations, it is shown here that the cause of the wind is the linear momentum of the wave motion taken up by the liquid through sound absorption. Keywords
